Starbridge announces date for foreclosure sale on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Salt Lake Third District Court, 450 South State Street, Salt Lake City, UtahThe following Shareholder letter was sent to all Star Bridge Shareholders on July 19, 2010. shareholder ltr.pdf Star Bridge Systems, Inc. has been incorporated for 11 years. During this time the company has developed a major software product called Viva. This product is very useful and efficient in programming FPGAs. The company has two patents on this technology. The company has also developed a Hypercomputer product, HC-62 and is in the process of developing a new generation of Hybrid computers using Viva and the existing Hypercomputer product. Star Bridge has also developed a Smith Waterman algorithm written in the Viva language and runs on the HC-62 Hypercomputer. This Smith Waterman algorithm handles very large genome files and processes these files faster than any other computer. The following information is a brief summary of the assets and products of the company. More detailed information can be found on these web pages. Star Bridge Systems has received five domestic and foreign patents for their technology. There are four domestic patents, two for hardware and two for Viva software. There are two additional patents pending on the Viva software. Star Bridge also has five trademarks for various product names and the name of the company. Star Bridge Viva Product Information Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) were once used almost exclusively for developing hardware. The new genera¬tion of FPGAs provide a fast, powerful approach to computer processing. With fresh thinking in processing comes the need for fresh thinking in programming. Until now, FPGA development required the use of text-based, low-level design languages like VHDL and Verilog that were originally designed for circuitry layout rather than computing. Viva, Viva Software Starbridge’s patented development environ¬ment, is a graphical, object-oriented programming tool that abstracts chip-level programming to a higher, more intuitive level necessary for developing complex applications. Viva simplifies programming for hardware design, providing a platform for creating a reusable and expandable library of objects written for computational methods. With Viva you can create efficient, inherently parallel applications that run directly on an FPGA. Star Bridge HC-62 Product Information Star Bridge Systems has developed a Hypercomputer, an FPGA based computer programmed with Viva. This Hypercomputer can be efficiently used as a component in a programmable/reconfigurable system for high performance computing products that require high-speed interfaces and massive amounts of data storage. A Star Bridge Systems Hypercomputer Starbridge HC-62 Hypercomputers is a programmable, parallel high performance computer which can be used stand-alone or in a cluster environment to significantly boost computation speeds, data I/O and data storage. Compared to typical clusters, Hypercomputers offer breakthrough advantages in speed, cost, power consumption/efficiency, size and programmability—sometimes by orders of magnitude. Star Bridge Hybrid Computing Product Information Star Bridge engineers have been developing a new Hypercomputer which provides the next level of High Performance Computing in a Hybrid Computer System. The system integrates cluster computing into the FPGA, not FPGAs into the cluster. This integrates FPGAs in a unique architecture to provide a combination of Linux cluster computing tightly coupled with highly parallel FPGA fabric. This concept achieves the highest level of heterogeneous computing with the tightly coupled integration of serial processors and FPGAs. About Starbridge Systems: The Hypercomputing CompanyStarbridge Systems is advancing FPGA-based reconfigurable computing by delivering powerful Hypercomputing systems. Hypercomputing offers significant advantages in speed with systems capable of processing complex algorithms in minutes that otherwise take months. In addition, Starbridge Viva development software provides users with a graphical, object-oriented programming tool that drastically simplifies the programming of FPGAs. Starbridge customers include such organizations as NASA, the NSA, the U.S. Air Force, the National Cancer Institute, and others.
